Awards, Scholarships and Grants,

AATG is proud to announce the finalists for the AATG/PAD National German Exam Scholarship. We warmly congratulate these exceptional students, along with their dedicated teachers, for their truly outstanding achievements and commitment to excellence in the study of German.

The 2026 applicant pool was especially competitive, reflecting the strength, passion, and high level of instruction across our community. Such impressive applications are a testament to the remarkable work being done by educators and the enthusiasm of German students nationwide.

"This year’s prize winners are among the highest-achieving students in the US," states Dr. Michael Shaughnessy, Executive Director of the AATG. "The prize is a prestigious recognition of their exceptional academic performance in German—and the premier educational opportunity to advance their linguistic mastery and cultural literacy through immersive learning abroad."

Congratulations to all students, teachers, and chapters for their continued dedication and success!
