SCHULWÄRTS! vermittelt und fördert internationale Praktika an vom Goethe-Institut betreuten Schulen und stärkt damit die Internationalisierung der Lehrer*innenbildung. Bewerben können sich Lehramtsstudierende sowie angehende Lehrkräfte aller Schulformen und Fächer, die in Deutschland studieren.

Mit der Teilnahme am Projekt SCHULWÄRTS! hat Ihre Schule eine/n Lehramtsstudierende*n oder eine angehende Lehrkraft aus Deutschland für ein acht- bis sechzehnwöchiges Praktikum zu Gast. Während ihres Aufenthaltes an der Schule assistieren die SCHULWÄRTS!-Stipendiat*innen u. a. in Form von Hospitationen oder Co-Teaching im (DaF-)Unterricht und gestalten ihn eigenverantwortlich mit. Gleichzeitig vermitteln sie sowohl den Deutschlernenden als auch den Lehrkräften vor Ort ein aktuelles Deutschlandbild und steigern so das Interesse an Deutschland und der deutschen Sprache. Darüber hinaus können die Stipendiat*innen in Absprache mit der Schule auch außercurriculare Projekte/Veranstaltungen mit verschiedenen Schwerpunkten, wie zum Beispiel Nachhaltigkeit, Informatik, Musik, Theater oder Sport, unterstützen bzw. durchführen.

SCHULWÄRTS! is looking for host schools in the USA and Canada!

SCHULWÄRTS! arranges and supports international internships at schools. The Goethe-Institut works closely with both, interns and host schools, thereby strengthening the internationalization of teacher education. Eligible applicants include student teachers as well as prospective teachers of all school types and subjects who are studying in Germany.

By participating in the SCHULWÄRTS! project, your school will host a student teacher or a prospective teacher from Germany for an eight- to sixteen-week internship. During their stay at the school, SCHULWÄRTS! scholarship holders assist in classes, among other things through classroom observations or co-teaching in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) lessons, and prepare to offer lessons on their own. At the same time, they provide both German learners and local teachers with a current and authentic perspective on Germany, thereby increasing interest in Germany and the German language. In addition, in consultation with the school, scholarship holders may also support or carry out extracurricular projects or events with various themes, such as sustainability, computer science, music, theater, or sports.
