Organization Overview
NFMLTA offers travel, dissertation, and research support grants for graduate students and other language professionals whose research are related to the expansion, promotion and improvement of the teaching of languages, literatures, and cultures. NFMLTA supports both the Paul Pimsleur Award and the Emma Marie Birkmaier Award. The cash support by NFMLTA for these two awards illustrates NFMLTA’s commitment to research in foreign and second language acquisition and to the application of its results to the classroom.
