German Quarterly Graduate Student Paper Award

This award recognizes the best research paper by a graduate student on any topic related to German Studies. The selection committee, which includes members of the Editorial Board, annually selects an essay to be published in The German Quarterly.
 
Any student enrolled in an M.A. or Ph.D. program at the time of submission is eligible to submit a previously unpublished paper, either in English or German.

The paper should be submitted to the editors of The German Quarterly, at germanquarterly@aatg.org.

The submission should include:

• a cover sheet with the student's name, institutional affiliation, contact information, title of the paper, and word count, along with the paper
• a faculty endorsement of the essay that addresses the context of the paper's development, its potential contribution to the scholarship, and areas that could still be improved.

The deadline for submissions is July 1 annually.
