GOLDEN Online Graduate-Level Courses
The GOLDEN (German Online Distance Education Network) MA program, housed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, has had a significant ripple effect on the foreign language profession by fostering sustained changes in German teachers’ educational technology knowledge; ability to design and implement content-rich experiences for students; and beliefs about teaching and learning language and culture. GOLDEN courses actively engage participants in co-constructing knowledge and building skills through online collaboration and emphasize the creation of activities and products that can be directly implemented into the language classroom. The GOLDEN MA program has consistently been ranked in the top 10 Online Graduate Programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report. Individuals not officially enrolled in the GOLDEN MA program may take individual GOLDEN courses as desired. For information on how to enroll in the MA program and/or how to register for individual GOLDEN courses, please contact Sheri Hurlbut.
