Erika Berroth


Dr. Erika Berroth is a teacher-scholar at Southwestern University,Georgetown, TX. Her interdisciplinary teaching projects connect German to the Environmental Humanities, Feminist Studies, and International Studies. With grants from the Associated Colleges of the South and the A. W. Mellon Foundation, she developed innovative courses and a short term embedded study abroad program for student-athletes. Research in German classics, transnational identity narratives, cultures of environmentalism.

Teaching German in the Anthropocene
Approaches to teaching meaningful and intellectually engaging content on climate change and cultures of environmentalism in an integrated, genre based and task oriented articulated curriculum in German. Innovative Collaboration for Study Abroad Programs
Experience in developing a short term embedded study abroad program for student-athletes in the Football Program at Southwestern University.
