I instruct German at a middle/high school, grades 7 - 12, German exploratory through level 5. I coordinate a GAPP exchange. I have served on the executive council of AATG as president. I have presented at local, state, regional and national conventions. I have been employed in the field of German education for 28 years.

Kinder und Jugendliteratur
Participants will share examples of best practices for integrating children and youth literature into the curriculum. They will share classical as well as contemporary authors. The presentation will be interactive with audience engagement. Keywords: Authentic Resources, Kinder- und Jugendliteratur

Film im Unterricht
Participants will share ideas for using classical and contemporary film clips to enhance instruction. We will explore how to best integrate clips into the curriculum and how to create units that are appropriate for the students' ability. Keywords: Authentic Resources, Film/TV, History and Culture

Integrating exchange students here and there
This presentation explores how one can integrate German students into the US classroom, campus, and community and suggestions for integrating the American students into the German school and community. The focus is a middle/high school exchange, but the material could be used at a university level. Keywords: Study Abroad/Exchange Programs
