GOLDEN Online Graduate-Level Courses

The GOLDEN (Global Online Distance Education Network) MA program, housed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, offers graduate level courses specifically designed for German language teachers. All courses are offered online and may be taken either as stand-alone courses or as part of a formal MA program. GOLDEN courses actively engage participants in co-constructing knowledge and building skills through online collaboration and emphasize the creation of activities and products that can be directly implemented into the language classroom. The GOLDEN MA program has consistently been ranked in the top 10 Online Graduate Programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report. Learn more about the GOLDEN program in this video interview with a recent graduate, which provides a glimpse into the GOLDEN experience and how the program impacted the teacher and his learners.

One course will be offered in the 2019 Spring Semester: Instructional Planning for German Teachers. For information on how to enroll in the MA program and/or how to register for individual GOLDEN courses, please contact Sheri Hurlbut. See Course Description▼
