Liberty Barker, 2019
There were new foods, new people, and new experiences. Walking in with prejudices or an unwillingness to adapt will keep you from enjoying what is genuinely an amazing program that can be life-changing.

Morgan Allen, 2018
Being the president of my school’s German Honor Society, I’m going to take all I’ve experienced and funnel the best things I can into teaching and inspiring deeper engagement from my school into our German program.

Kai Hin Lui, 2017
Traveling abroad is not only academically and culturally fulfilling, but also fosters personal growth. Germany taught me how to enjoy my life, and this is a lesson I will never forget. I will definitely be coming back to Germany!

Samuel Hoffman, 2016
My time in Germany gained me so many uncountable gifts. The greatest was the exposure and experience that come with an entirely new environment. In the future I plan to hopefully work or study biology in Germany.

Elizabeth Moye, 2015
Being around this culture, which I had learned so much about, allowed me to gain a greater appreciation for it and to be more open to how other people understand the world. I gained more independence and self-confidence though this trip.

Erin McMahon, 2014
I never thought that three weeks would change my life. After reflecting on my time in Braunschweig, I can honestly say that in those three weeks, I grew more than I ever imagined I could. Not only did my language skills improve, but my confidence in myself increased as well.
Makenna Killman, 2013
I learned so much during this trip. I learned more about who I am as a person, I learned new things about German culture, and of course more about the German language! I look forward to the day I can return to Leipzig and visit my friends again.
Kyle Adams, 2012
This program helped me broaden my horizons through immersion in German culture and become more open to others' views. By living with a family, I gained a better understanding of German culture and how it compares to American culture.
