Deadline extended! Summer seminars in Leipzig and Vienna

We've extended the application deadline for our summer seminars to March 15. Spend time this summer in Leipzig or Vienna--at greatly reduced costs. 

Interested in honing your German language skills and enhancing your repertoire of classroom techniques? 

The KoPrA seminar, July 12 - August 8 in Leipzig, Germany is specifically designed for K-16 teachers and pre-service teachers with Intermediate High proficiency, this 4-week immersion seminar aims to develop proficiencies to meet Advanced Low certification requirements. Grant which covers all program costs, accommodations, and a partial travel stipend.

Wondering how to integrate STEM topics into your German instruction? 

The MINT (Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaften und Technik) Fortbildungskurs in Leipzig, Germany from June 13 - July 4, will explore the integration of MINT/STEM subjects in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary instruction. Observe classroom instruction, experience various workshops, and design instructional materials. Grant which covers all program costs, accommodations, and a partial travel stipend.


Want to experience history and learn how to use stories to personalize German instruction?

The Erzähl mir was! Erlebte Geschichte(n) im Daf-Unterricht seminar in Vienna, Austria from June 30 - July 11 focuses on storytelling to foster authentic communication. Learn to develop strategies to utilize print and digital media as a starting point for interpersonal communication in the classroom, while exploring youth culture and web-based tools. A special price for AATG members includes program costs, materials, and lodging in Vienna.
