DAAD Book Prize of the German Studies Association

The 2014 DAAD Book Prize of the German Studies Association (GSA) will be awarded for the best book in the fields of German-language literature, Germanistik, and culture studies.

Books in German Studies published in these fields during 2012 and 2013 are eligible for consideration. Eligibility is restricted to authors who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States and Canada. Translations, editions, anthologies, memoirs, and books that have been previously published are not eligible. The DAAD Book Prize of the GSA is funded through the North American office of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and carries an award of $1,000. 

Inquiries and nominations should be sent to the committee chair, Professor Stephan K. Schindler (German, University of South Florida), at The deadline for submission is February 20, 2014.
