Upcoming grant opportunities from NFMLTA

The National Federation of Modern Language Teachers' Associations (NFMLTA) is now accepting applications for two grants.

Learning and Teaching Priorities Grants. These grants, of up to $5,000, are for workshops which advance language pedagogy and methodology. This is a new initiative.The conference and workshop grants cover travel, lodging, and registration costs for presenters. The webinar grants cover up to a $200 honorarium per presenter. Any topic will be considered, but ideas related to improving second-language learning and teaching by introducing practical solutions to concrete problems are encouraged. Proposals are due September 15, 2020.

Travel Grants. - These grants, of up to $1,000 each - reimbursed against original receipts -, are available for language professionals presenting also at virtual conferences and can be used for conference registration. This grant cycle is good for a calendar year and grants can be used for conferences in 2021, which may be held on-site. Applications are due September 1, 2020.
