Free online resource for reading comprehension and student scholarship

What do Harry Potter, Homer, and Vincent Van Gogh have in common? They're all featured on the free online resource designed to help German learners keep their reading comprehension skills consistently fresh, the Daily Portion of German. A new Portion is posted each weekday and consists of a video featuring a text in German that is read, analyzed, and translated. Scholarship for student recording assistant. The Erasmus Academy is offering a scholarship in the form of a $200 discount on any of its eight intensive summer language courses, effective 2019-2023, in addition to a $15/hour stipend to a student who assists as a guest speaker on three Daily Portion of German recordings. Any high school or college student with at least a year of German is qualified to apply. Each recording session takes about two and a half hours and all recording is done online remotely. A letter awarding the scholarship will be mailed to the recipient. Seven such scholarships will be awarded through March 31.
