Die Unterrichtspraxis/Teaching German Special Issue

Die Unterrichtspraxis/Teaching German is accepting contributions for its Fall 2019 special issue: Teaching German Studies in a Global Context

This issue seeks contributions that explore what it means to teach German Studies in a global context. Topics might include:

  • The theoretical and pragmatic justifications for a “global” turn in the teaching of German Studies
  • The opportunities and challenges posed by globalizing undergraduate and graduate courses and curricula
  • The teaching of migration and exophonic writers as related to concepts of Germanness and German culture
  • The training of graduate students to understand the global aspects of German Studies while preparing them for academic and non‐academic careers
  • Examples of undergraduate or graduate lessons, courses, or curricula that situate the teaching of the global within the teaching of German Studies

You can find details on how to submit your contribution here

Submissions are due January 15, 2019.
