Immersion 2018
Our workshop is this Saturday, September 15th from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, and we have extended the registration deadline to tomorrow—September 11, 2018. In the morning there will be information about the Certificate of Multilingual Proficiency and the student pipeline from high school to college. In the afternoon there will be a teaching strategies workshop.
The details:
During the morning session of this workshop will hear from various experts about what the Certificate of Multilingual Proficiency is and how students can obtain it. After lunch we will have an immersive workshop in German on teaching strategies that will help our students get closer to proficiency. Each participant will go home with materials for use in their own classes, and several door prizes will be given away to lucky participants!
On the evening prior to the workshop, the Columbia Club is hosting an Oktoberfest on Monument Circle. Please consider joining us there also!

Lunch from Bosphorus Café is included in registration. Please email ccarey@cps.k12.in.us with any dietary restrictions.
If you would like to stay Friday evening with a host family please emailccarey@cps.k12.in.us.
On-site registration is welcome. Please bring $50 cash or check. Lunch may not be provided for on-site registration. Discount registration is available for those who would like to attend remotely. Please inquire via email:mstigter@butler.edu

Please park in the parking garage behind Clowes Hall at Butler University in Indianapolis. You will receive a parking voucher at the workshop.

Immersion only cost will be $20 for members and $35 for non-members. *Local Hotel has a block of rooms reserved if you will be traveling out of area. Costs listed on registration form and link.
Up to three AATG members, that are attending the AATG immersion for the first time, will be offered free admission to the immersion and a $30 subsidy for mileage. These will be given on a first come first serve basis.
