TPRS Coaching and Learning Seminar at Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia
July 25-30, 2010.

Description: TPRS is a method that is revitalizing German programs. Come learn how to use TPRS in your classroom or improve your TPRS skills. This workshop is taught by Julie Baird (Wawasee High School, Syracuse, IN), Rob Williams (Fairfax High School, Fairfax, VA), and Hank Schwab (North Brunswick Township High School, New Brunswick, NJ), three respected German TPRSers. The workshop is arranged with a combination of break-out sessions and whole group instruction to cover the needs of beginners through experienced TPRS teachers. All participants will experience learning Japanese through TPRS.

The atmosphere and camaraderie of this seminar makes it one of the best professional development opportunities you can experience. It is recommended that participants read the current edition of "Fluency through TPR Storytelling" by Contee Seely and Blaine Ray  before attending. The current edition  is available at www.blaineraytprs.com. “TPRS in a Year” by Ben Slavic available at http://www.benslavic.com/ is also recommended.

Cost: $500 (tentative cost includes workshop, room and board [3 meals], in single dorm room) plus a $50 non-refundable registration fee.

The $50 fee is due with the application. The balance will be billed in May. Please apply for this seminar by March 14, 2010.
