5,593 students across the US participated in this year’s Level 1 National German Exam. Score reports were sent to teachers via email on May 9. Teachers received a National German Exam Results Report, a detailed Skills Report, and Individual Student Reports—in a printable format.

Overall student performance on the exam was quite good. 571 students were awarded a Gold Medal for their outstanding performance on the exam. 513 students received a Silver Medal and 614 students were awarded a Bronze Medal.

The number of students participating in this year's Level 1 National German Exam increased by 9% over 2016. Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, and Virginia ranked highest in number of student participants. More information and exam data can be found on the 2017 Exam Results page of our website.

Teachers who have not yet received their scores should contact AATG staff at nge@aatg.org or 856-795-5553 for assistance.
