Students from the German club at Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina participated in the 8th Annual Schultüten Project, bringing this German tradition to Wiley International Elementary School for the Kindergartner's first full day of school on Tuesday, September 6.

The high school students and their German teacher Beth Gulewich were warmly welcomed by Wiley principal Leslie Taylor, German teacher Ute Bartley and the Kindergarten teachers Molly Strom, Julia Thompson and Jennifer Oliver. Broughton High School parents donated school supplies, toys and treats to help celebrate the beginning of public school education for more than 60 Kindergarten students.

What a great way to celebrate this important new beginning. Die Schule macht wohl Spaß!
