AATG invites application for a three-day seminar for faculty working in small, undergraduate German programs, October 23-25 at the Goethe-Zentrum in Atlanta, GA. German faculty from across the country will work together on strategies for addressing the challenges of teaching in a small program.
The seminar will be facilitated by Jennifer Redmann, Associate Professor of German at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, and Timothy B. Malchow, Associate Professor and head of the German section in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN.
Participation is limited to 25 faculty from small German programs (those with three or fewer faculty). Preference will be given to applications from programs that are considering curricular reform. Participation of two faculty members from the same institution is encouraged. The deadline for application is July 31, 2015.
Hotel accommodations will be provided and stipends of up to $500 to cover transportation costs and meals will be awarded to individual participants.
