Support the Teaching of Foreign Languages in the United States by Participating in a Government-Sponsored Enrollment Study
Please take a few minutes to participate in a foreign language enrollment survey to inform the development of programs aimed at advancing language learning in the United States. This study will document and inform stakeholders and policymakers at all levels of the educational system about the locations, levels, enrollments, and types of programs that currently constitute the U.S. K-16 educational capacity in world languages.
The enrollment survey is for Pre-K through college level, but the Modern Language Association has already collected the data from postsecondary institutions. This survey is for Pre-K through grade 12.
You may complete the survey online or simply upload a document containing information on foreign language programs in your school or district. The questionnaire may be completed by anyone in the individual school or school district who is familiar with the language course offerings and enrollment figures. The data should be for the 2014-15 school year.
