From May 1 through May 31, the University of Iowa in Iowa City will be hosting a traveling exhibit on the White Rose resistance movement. The exhibit is sponsored by the Weiße Rose Stiftung will be on display in the College of Public Health

In conjunction with this exhibit, the University of Iowa Department of German is inviting regional high school and college students for an informal tour of the exhibit on Saturday, May 17, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be provided, and faculty members will be on hand to discuss Sophie and Hans Scholl and their fellow members of the White Rose. Faculty members will also discuss career opportunities for high school students hoping to pursue German as part of their college studies.

An article from the Washington State University News, where the exhibit is currently hosted, offers information on the exhibit, the movement, and its relevance for young students today. To learn more about the traveling exhibit and to view the schedule, visit http://www.weisse-rose-stiftung.de.
