TOPIC: Modernes Deutschland
This will be an immersion weekend, focused around the topic of "das moderne Deutschland” and a chance to get to know colleagues from throughout the state. In addition, updates about the regional and Texas State German Contests will be provided; you will have a chance to learn about materials from Langenscheidt and other publishers; we will hold a German movie night; and lots of information about modern Germany will be shared.
We will begin with a soup-and-salad supper as you check in at the Baymont and a German film evening; the next day will be our workshop. Event plans are still being finalized. Please check here and the Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/271467842874017/ for updates! Also, visit the event page: http://northtxaatg.wix.com/welcome#!events/c21kz.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: Accommodations will be at the Baymont Inn in Temple, right off Interstate 35 and about 1/4 mile from Temple High School, where our sessions will be held.
The Baymont is taking reservations starting now through Aug. 15.
Rooms are $66.50 for a double room with two queen-size beds, or $58.50 for a double with one king-size bed.
Additional people can share the room, at a cost of an additional $10 per person.
(These prices are predicated on us using at least 10 rooms.) You may extend your stay through Sunday morning, if you like. If you bring a tax-free form, state tax will be waived. Breakfast is included. Supper and lunch on Saturday will be included in the registration cost for the workshop.
So please talk to your colleagues and make your room reservations now! To reserve your room, contact Baymont Inn and Suites, 1415 N. General Bruce Drive, Temple, 76504, (254) 770-0300; tell them you are a part of the AATG Fall Meeting group.
