Dates: August 2009 through July 2010 Level / Subject: Teachers (grades 7-12) and two- or four-year college fculty teaching German, French, Italian, English, Spanish, Russian, Latin, economics, math, science, history, geography, art, music, physical education or computer science. Language proficiency: German, French or Italian strongly recommended. Teaching assignment: English language and literature and other subjects for which the US teacher has been trained or certified to teach. Transportation award: Approximately $2500 airfare allowance for grantee. Other benefits: 2 1/2 day pre-departure orientation workshop for grantee and accompanying dependents. One day orientation workshop in Switzerland. Dependents: Permitted. Free schooling for children in Swiss public schools. Estimated number of positions: 3 (one each in French, German, and Italian-speaking regions of Switzerland). Online submission of the application is preferred. All applications for the 2009-10 year must be submitted electronically or postmarked by October 15, 2008. Eligibility: Applicants must hold at least a Bachelo'rs degree, be a US citizen fluent in English, have a full-time teaching or administrative assignment in the US, be in at least the third year of full-time teaching/administration, meet current FSB requirements.
