The USA is again planning to participate in the Internationale Deutscholympiade, through a competition sponsored by the Internationaler Deutschlehrerverband (IDV), Goethe-Institutes in the US, and AATG. Now you have the opportunity to get your students involved! Application deadline: June 30, 2008 The students must be at least 16 years old by December 31, 2008, and they may also be seniors who graduate in spring 2009. Applications must be received by the coordinator of this program, Gert Wilhelm of the Chicago Goethe-Institut, by June 30, 2008. The national preliminary round will be held by invitation in Chicago from December 4-5, 2008, and the international finals will be held in Germany during the summer of 2009.
