Looking for a German position or are you retiring and need someone to take your place? 

This email list identifies and provides information about teaching positions in German at all levels of instruction. The list is moderated, which means that job listings will be verified for their accuracy before being posted. Subscribers will receive postings with information on available positions.

To subscribe to the AATG Teaching Positions List, send an e-mail message to: listserv@listserv.iupui.edu. In the body of the message, write:

SUBscribe GER-JOBS-L YourFirstName YourLastName (replace YourFirstName YourLastName with your real name)

Use the spaces as noted. Leave the subject field blank. Do not enter any other information in the message. Do not include a "signature" if your mail program has that feature. You will receive subscription confirmation, which will give you further information on the AATG Teaching Positions List.

Suggestion: When subscribing, please adjust your e-mail settings to plain text (rather than HTML or another format). Another tip: Since most ISPs are now using spam blockers, most LISTSERV mail is misidentified as spam. People having problems receiving (or, for that matter, even subscribing) have to TURN OFF the spam filter OR notify their ISP to do that for them.

For those with German-teaching positions to announce: Please send information to the AATG office via e-mail (headquarters@aatg.org). Include a position description, teaching level, city and state. Be sure to let us know who applicants should contact, and how (e-mail, phone with area code, etc.) Once verified by AATG, the information will be posted to this list.
