FUBiS Summer 2008 - Berlin, Germany |
|
The FUBiS Summer program 2008 is now online on an all-new website.
FUBiS offers intensive and semi-intensive German language classes on five proficiency levels as well as Business German.
In addition, there are almost 30 subject classes to choose from in both summer terms. Selected class topics include: • Understanding the European Union (Term II) • Vampires and Vamps, Mad Scientists and Manic Serial Killers: Weimar Cinema (Term II) • Espionage after World War II (Term II) • Jewish History and Representations of the Holocaust in Berlin (Term III) • Berlin: East meets West - Past Meets Present (Term III) • Law, Politics, and Society in Comparative Perspective (Term III)
The FUBiS program provides students with many choices and an individual curriculum:
• Combination of language and subject classes. This allows students to improve their language skills as well as further their knowledge of a subject matter. • Combination of two subject classes which may count toward a major or minor at the home institution. • Intensive German language classes. These classes meet every weekday and allow students to focus on and thus considerably improve their German skills. • Participation in either one semi-intensive German class or in one subject class.
Besides the numerous study and field trips, FUBiS offers further excursions and extracurricular activities, e.g. a weekly Movietime showing popular German movies.
