| TraiNDaF: Advocacy, Articulation, Recruitment |
|
Among the many topics discussed during the meetings of the four TraiNDaF classes were advocacy, articulation, and recruitment. The result was a compilation of the best practices and strategies that the participants themselves found most useful in their daily professional activities for keeping German out front and visible on their campuses, in their communities and in their school districts and schools. All of the activities listed under the three rubrics on the next pages are doable and, for the most part, quite successful. They usually require some (or a lot of!) extra effort but what educator focused on German isn’t already so engaged? We’re publishing some of the best ideas, many of them you no doubt already use, as further inspiration to keep German alive and well in the curriculum at all levels of instruction, despite the many challenges many of you face today.
