Prestigious Verdienstkreuz 1. Klasse Awarded To Director Helene Zimmer-Loew
With great pride, AATG announces the awarding of the Verdienstkreuz 1. Klasse, one of Germany's highest honors, to our Executive Director, Helene Zimmer-Loew. As anyone who has ever had the privilege of working with her knows, Helene is truly a tireless advocate for the German language and culture, for teachers of German, and for study abroad. She is active on countless committees, is involved in numerous associations, and devotes her "free" time to support of the arts, among other activities. We are extremely pleased that she has been recognized and honored by the German government for her efforts with the Verdienstkreuz - it is indeed well-deserved!
